ARE... YOU... KIDDING... ME...??? I decided to take a break from my engine woes and do something fun. I thought I'd install the windsheild. Once again the awesome (heavy sarcasm) construction manual allowed for an additional adventure. Basically the manual says to "install windsheild." Excellent, any tips on technique perhaps? Turns out I installed it from bottom to top... WRONG. The top missed by about 1/8". Of course I discovered this after I had drilled too many holes. Aaargh... now my lexan windsheild was ruined. Our FaceBook builders groups gave me great advice, even a link to a video showing ICP installing a windsheild in the factory. I tried it on the messed up windsheild just to make sure it would work. Turns out its an easy 10 minute job.... once you know how. What to do? After some serious diddling, I bought a lexan sheet at Home Depot, used the original as a pattern, and cut out a brand new windsheild. The original 2mm thick, I opted for an upgrad to 2.5mm. I also ordered a different gasket from Aircraft Spruce that looks much better and gives me a better seal.
