A banner day! I always grossly underestimate the time and effort needed to paint, but its definitely worth it. I painted the Firethorn Red from Stewart Systems paint. I have to say that I'm very happy with my choice in paints. They have great tutorials and customer support for someone who has never painted without the use of rattle cans. I've been also been very happy with the results.
The finished paint is very smooth and has a very nice, deep gloss. Now while I'm waiting for warmer temperatures to paint the rest, I can continue with the build. All the flight controls, instruments, wiring, seats, carpet, firewall forward, engine installation, etc. After seeing this, I can't wait to see the entire fuselage in its red and black.
