If this part doesn't impress you, nothing will! First the geometry invloved to mix the flap and aileron input is impressive. While the ailerons must move opposite one another, they must move up and down perfectly in concert to function as flaps as well. This crazy shape does it all.
Secondly, this part handles some impressive flight loads so it is incredible light but strong. There is zero deflection in any portion of this part. The assembly was fairly straight foward, each piece was unique and fairly intuitive.
