Brief Description:  Final wing topcoat

Well I'm pretty happy! The paint is not perfect, but its pretty good! I'm still learning all the little nuisances to have a truly perfect paint job. Still, I'm very impressed with the Stewart System paint, it has a very deep glossy sheen. Several folks have asked me if its a baked on enamel... nope, just a good ole water base two part paint :-) I'm glad I took the extra step to add the white wing tip... I made a jig to trace the curvature of the tip back inboard about 14 inches, I think it gives it a little flair.

I had to paint the top first, then tape off the good section, sand off the overspray, then then flip the wing and paint the other side. I followed the natural line of the skin seam just aft of the main spar, that way you can't tell it was a two part job. I'm SO glad to get this part done, that's the last of the big pieces, all that's left to paint is the horizontal stabilizer and the elevator... of course the cowling whenever I get that fabricated.
