Since the AeroCarb/Sonex installation does not require the Jabiru fuel pump it can be removed to save space and weight. As a comparison, the Bing Carb weighs just over 3 lbs and the Fuel pump 1 lb, the Aerocarb is 2lbs. So a savings close to 2 lbs. Once the fuel pump was removed the area was cleaned and the AeroConversion provided cover plate as installed. Before installing the plate a good layer of high temp gasket was applied.
