Brief Description: Making Main Gear Holes in Lower Fuselage Skin
Next to be done is the placement of the Tri-Gear main gear holes in the lower fuselage skin. The Oval hole was located according to the plans. The center point of each hole was pilot drilled with a #40 drill bit. Next the step drill was used to get the holes to 7/8". Then the Dremel tool with a metal cutting bit was used to get the hole as close as possible and finally a sanding bit was used to clean up the hole. I was very happy with how quicking and neatly this ended up.
