removed epoxy, planed to 1 1/2 added veticals and glued.
Note the joint I had to make at the diagonal - this is not what is picture in the plans but conforms to dimentions . What happened here is the manual says to leave the spars long but dosent say how long. I scaled the drawning for the added lenght . This particular drawing is not to scale . The joint should have been straight thru .
