Finally, started on the tail cone, but now it’s back to more deburr and prep work and less assembly work. I trimmed the tie down and tapped the hole. Interesting story on finding the tap. I looked all over the garage and my toolboxes for the right size tap. I know I had it because it’s the same as i used for the RV-12. After a while I gave up and ended up going to the store to get some more dill bits and a new tap. When I got home, back from the store, I opened the package, marked the depth, and then went to get the tap hand and guess what I found…my original tap 3/8 tap was still in the handle oiled, with a bag around it to prevent corrosion. Oh well, it’s done now. I deburred the bulkheads and matched drilled the pieces together.
