Brief Description: Trim cable anchor brackets (9-7)
I’m still working on final drilling the elevator skins, but for some variety I worked on the trim anchor brackets. The kit comes with WD-415 brackets, which are a welded nut onto a piece of stainless-steel sheet metal. It looks ok, but per the recommendation of previous builders I opted for the machined aluminum brackets. These were nice, since the holes are already drilled into the bracket, and I only had to locate them and drill through the access plate. Drilling through stainless-steel is always difficult. I’ll have to figure out the best rivets to use, but whereas the WD-415 I think gets attached with LP4-3, I think I will use solid AN470 or AN426 long rivets.
