It took awhile to get the last screws I needed to finish the rudder. With the help of Cyndi I tapped the drill bit from the bottom to make the hole location on the skins. The instructions say to drill with a #40 bit into the dimple from the underside, but it’s really difficult to hold the skin and drill at the same time. I decided I can see the dimple on the outside, so I marked it with a fine point sharpie and drilled it with a 1/16” drill bit (very small) to create the pilot hole. The advantage was that it didn’t walk off the top of the dimple and put the pilot hole in just the right location. The I went to the #40, #30 and #19 size drill bits as instructed. The instructions also point out if the center between the screws is pillowed, then to add a flush pull rivet. It wasn’t pillowed, but I looks a little more secure with the extra rivet, so I added it. Nice to have this done.
