While the adhesive is drying on the rudder trailing edge, I decided to start trimming all the E-720 elevator stiffeners. The stiffeners come in long lengths that must be hole matched to the elevator skins and then trimmed. Once I had the layout sorted out, I started trimming each stiffener according to the drawing on DWG 5. I marked the left elevator stiffeners with a single center punch mark so that they would not get mixed up with the right elevator stiffeners. Once I had all the stiffeners rough trimmed, I used a long stiff file to straighten the long taper cuts. Out of steam for today. Tomorrow I will use the 6" deburring wheel on my stationary grinder to debur all the stiffeners.
