Using my pneumatic squeezer, I riveted the two rudder skins to the skeleton using AN426AD3-3.5 rivets to the spar. I then riveted the skins to the bottom rib, bottom attach strips and horn brace with AN426AD3-4 rivets. I had to use 3 MK-319-BS blind rivets where the top and bottom rib taper down at the back of the rudder as specified in drawing DWG 7. I finished riveting the skins to the tip rib and the tip rib to the counterbalance skin. Next,I purchased a 4' long piece of aluminum angle. I aligned the angle with the rudder trailing edge and using the trailing holes I drilled matching holes in the angle. Using fuel tank sealant, I spread a thin layer of sealant on both sides of the trailing edge insert. I carefully slid the insert between the trailing edge rudder skins and clecoed the aluminum angle to the skin to hold it straight until the sealant cured. I set the rudder assembly aside for two days of curing.
