Brief Description:  Rudder brace and skeleton dimpled

I started the day by trimming the R-710 rudder brace according to the horn brace detail on drawing page DWG 7. I deburred the edges and fit the brace between the R-405PD rudder horn and the R-904 bottom rib.I match drilled the holes to #30. I next made the two R-918 rudder bottom attach strips as shown on DWG 7. I match drilled them to the bottom rib holes to #40. I removed the new parts, deburred and dimpled. Next, I drilled the E-614-020 counterweight to the R-912 counterbalance rib. I countersunk the weight for a #10 countersunk screw. I had to make my own countersink die from aluminum 1" bar stock to dimple the counterbalance rib. I used my drill press to apply the pressure needed.
