Brief Description: Riveted rear spar to Horizontal Stabilizer
I'm on the last step to finish my first major sub-assembly. I bolted the center bearing assembly to the rear spar using AN3-5A bolts, AN960-10 washers and AN365-1032 nuts. I torqued the nuts to 25 in-lbs as specified. I next placed the rear spar assembly between the skins and clecoed in place. I riveted bothHS-405's to the rear spar using AN470AD4-7 rivets. I blind riveted both HS-708's to the rear spar using cherry max rivets instead of the BSPQ-5-4 pop rivets called for by Van's. I used my pneumatic squeezer to install the remaining rivets AN426AD3-3.5 to the rear spar and the HS-404 and HS-405 ribs. Done. Now I can start the vertical stabilizer
