WD-643-SS canopy brace stiffens the roll hoop. I inserted the brace tab between the F-7108A rib and F-7108 angle aligning with the pre-punched holes in the rib. The brace is too long to fit into the recepacle of the roll hoop and requires trimming. I marked and cutoff 1" of the brace tube. Deburred the cut and refit to the rib and roll hoop. I marked the location for the 2 AN4 bolts that go through the tab of the canopy brace. Drilled and deburred these holes and temporarily put 2 AN4 bolts to hold the brace in place as shown in DWG 42, section E-E. I clamped the tube end into the receptacle of the roll hoop and drilled the through hole for an AN4 bolt as shown in DWG 43, detail B.
