Brief Description: Elevator Horn Inspection Covers
The F-824B cover plates shown in DWG 44 are dimpled for AN509-8R8 screws as well as the fusalage skin. I used my 8R8 screw dimple set to dimple all 8 holes in both plates and the skins. The K1100-08 plate nuts are riveted on using AN426AD3-3.5 rivets. I machine countersunk all 8 platenuts to seat flush against the fusalage skin. I set the rivets using my pneumatic squeezer and a screw to hold the platenut centered in the hole. I also had to use my rivet gun and bucking bar for a few rivets the squeezer could not reach.
