Brief Description:  Drill, Dimple and Rivet Wing Access PLates

The two outboard bottom wing skins are just about ready to be riveted to the wings. I still need to install the nutplates for the two remaining access plates W-822. The wing skin is already prepunched for the nutplates. I deburred the edges of the 2 access plates so they would fit the access hole in the wing skin. I just need to match drill the screw holes in the skin to the holes in the access plate. I did this using a #19 drill bit. I deburred the holes and now I need to match drill the rivet holes to the K1100-08 platenuts. I inserted a screw into the platenut and one cleco and match drilled all 8 nutplates to #40. I deburred all the holes. I dimpled the screw holes with my #8 screw dimple set. I also dimpled the access plates. Four holes in the access plate are dimpled to a #6 screw. These screw attach to the wing spar web. Next I dimpled the rivet holes in both wing skins. I used my countersink to machine countersink all the K1100-08 platenuts. Using a screw and cleco to hold the platenut to the skin, I used my pneumatic squeezer to set the AN426AD3-3.5 rivets.
