Brief Description: Fuel Valve Cover and Fuel Pump Mount
The fuel valve cover F-983C is fitted to the center cabin floor F-782C. There are 6 screws that attach to platenuts on the cover support ribs F-783B-L&R. Before I can fit the fuel selector cover I need to fit the two cover plates F-782A-L&R that covers the front face of the wing spar center section. I temporarily clecoed the covers in place and then clecoed the fuel cover in place to check fit and alignment. Since I am going with a fuel injected Lycoming IO-360, I have to install the optional fuel injection pump and filter plus the optional pump cover. This requires modifying the fuel selector cover and also cutting the center cabin floor to mount the pump and filter assembly. I started by laying out the pump/filter support and marking where I would need to trim the center cabin floor. I also need to cut a section out of the front of the fuel selector cover to allow clearance for the fuel lines and pump assembly. I marked and cut the pieces and deburred the edges and called it quits for today.
