Brief Description: Fitting F-7112 Forward Top Skin
While I am waiting for my torque wrench to arrive for the gear weldments, I decided to fit the F-7112 forward top skin to the fusalage. First I had to drill out about 6 blind rivets that were temporarily installed in the quick build fusalage. I laid the skin on top of the fusalage and clecoed it in place as I aligned the F-706 and F-707 bulkheads. I also had to slide in the F-788 gusset between the skin and the F-706 bulkhead. I drilled the skin to the bulkheads and stringers with a # 40 drill. Later I will fit the F-6111 ribs to the F-7112 skin and then deburr the holes and edges.
