Brief Description: Mid Fusalage Side Rails and Canopy Deck Riveting
Referencing DWG 25, I first removed the pop rivets that held the F-757-S plates in place so that I could trim them to the sliding canopy specs. I just clamped them in place on my drill press and used a hole saw to cut to a 2" radius. I deburred the two pieces and placed them back on top of the F-705F channel. I clecoed them in place so I could final drill holes and add 3 additional holes as specified. I removed the pop rivets that temporarly held the F-705F channel to the F-705D vertical channel. I used clecoes to hold the assembly in place while I final drilled to #30. I deburred all the holes and now it was time to rivet the section together. I used my pneumatic squeezer where I could and a rivet set and bucking bar where I could not reach with the squeezer.
