I verifyed the quick build work done at the factory with a QB notation. I fabricated the F-796C & D spacers from 0.063 2024-T3 and 0.032 2024-T3 alclad as shown in DWG 38 that is part of the fuel tank attach bracket. Next I fabricated the 2 F-796B-L/R shims from AA6-125 x 3/4 x 3/4 stock as shown in DWG 38. I deburred and rounded the edges as shown. I talked to Van's and they suggested I finish the fuel tank attach brackets when I install the wings to make it easier the set the wing incidence.
