Brief Description:  Moved Carb Heat cable

After talking with Willy (He sells Bushcaddy kits in BC) at the Fly-In he said after setting in the left seat he thought the Carb Heat needed to be relocated over by the throttle and after looking at it and listening to his reasoning it made great sense to me to. So I moved it today over the throttle. I had an avionics shop come by the hanger today and look at my intercom and do the transponder check and sign off on it. I had this screech in my head set every time I pushed the push to talk button and when I taxied over from the fly-in ground had trouble hearing me. They found the cause of the screech to be from the jacks not being isolated from the plane and after setting them off to the side the squelch was gone. Still have some garbled transmission. I switch head sets and found the one head set mike was some of the problem and they are coming back to isolate the headphone jacks and check the wiring for the rest. They said the reception is great but need to work on the transmission side some. Looks like Jim Scott will be able to do my W&B Thursday. He is the A&P you see inspecting my work in some of the pictures on this log. He is a certified Rotax service center and has trained in the Jabiru engine repair also. He is right on the field on the West side.
