Mounted the engine oil cooler to the left side of the firewall. Fabricated an oil cooler air outlet channel 6" wide, 3" deep and 5" long. Inside this channel is a flap that will be controlled by the cabin heat control. When cabin heat is selected the flap will direct hot air from the oil cooler through a hole in the firewall to the cabin. Used a 2 1/2" hole saw to make the cabin heat passage through the firewall. Used high temp silicone gasket material to make a tight seal ring around the cabin heat opening. This seals the cabin heat flap when the flap is closed.
