Brief Description: Made dimpling tool & rivet test
Made a tool to dimple the aluminum for flush riveting the Dzus fastener springs for the wing locker doors.
Tested A5 rivets set in normal size holes and set in holes too large as found in the right wing. Found that rivets set coated with epoxy did not pull out from test pieces with holes of 0.175" to 0.190" while A5 rivets set in normal size holes (0.163") did pull out. Concluded that rivets coated with JB Weld Epoxy are much stronger even in large holes than A5 rivets set without epoxy
