Machine work on cyl heads to increase counterbore size to accept the VW 92mm barrels. Change combustion chamber size and shape to get compression ratio below 10:1. Cut a groove in the squish area pointing at the spark plug. Reportedly, this groove will squirt the mixture at the plug when it fires and promote rapid mixture buring.
