Tested engine using 100LL fuel. Experimented with timing advance and knock threshold. Found that timing advance could be up to 38 deg without detonation, even with mixture leaned until engine would miss. Set the 100LL timing map to 32 to 34 deg advance at wide open throttle. The static RPM was the same (2600) whether using 100LL or 92 octane, no ethanol, car gas.
