Installed the Kannad ELT mounting base just in front of the rear spar on the right side. Fabricated and riveted a 80mm x 120mm doubler plate of 0.025" aluminum on top of the fuselage just in front of 6B12-1 bulkhead. The doubler is to stiffen the mounting area for the ELT antenna. Drilled a 1/2" hole in the center of the stiffener. Mounted the ELT antenna. The ELT base and the ELT antenna were installed in accordance with the Kannad installation instructions.
