Brief Description:  Set Up Aileron Control Linkages

Used the soldering iron to melt access opening in the fabric on the sidewalls of the cockpit for the control cables to pass through. Passed the top aileron cable through the cockpit and into the right wing stub. Connected the ends of the turnbuckle for the cross over aileron cable. Found that the cable was too short to allow the ailerons to be adjusted to a neutral setting. The solution appears to be to install another turnbuckle in the left wing stub to get the right length for the cable.

Installed the interconnect rods for each of the aileron sets starting with the left wing. Mounted the top end of the rod to the top aileron and fitted the bottom end to check alignment of the two ailerons. Adjusted the rod ends to arrive at the two ailerons aligned with the trailing edges of both wings. Secured the bottom end with a AN4 bolt and self-locking nut. Repeated the process for the ailerons on the right wings.

Put the divider back into the baggage area and reinstalled the seat back. Evaluated a location for the installation on a 12V accessory plug into the instrument panel and the routing for the power wire.
