Brief Description: Shorten Front Cross Cables to Square Front Struts
Cut the copper crimp from the cable end to free the cable for shorting the cable from the top right side of the center wing mounts. Tighten the mounting bolt holding the turnbuckle tab to the bottom of the strut Placed a new copper crimp on the cable and rethreaded it back through the turnbuckle. Set the barrow on the turnbuckle with 3/8 inches thread showing. Pulled the cable through the end of the turnbuckle and through the crimp. Mounted a cable clamp on the cable behind the crimp and pulled the cable tight then tighten down the clamp. Checked the angle on the left strut for 90 degree vertical. Strut was setting at 89 degree plus. Worked on correcting the other cable on the right side of the fuselage. Shorten the cable and held it in place with a cable clamp outside of the crimp as on the left side. Tighten up the right side cable and went to check the angle only to find that the batteries had died on the digital angle display. Have to get new batteries tomorrow.
