Brief Description: Completed the Top of the Lower Right Wing
Continued the gluing of the tapes over the stitch rivets on the remaining ribs. Added a tape along the front edge of the stitch tapes. All tapes are glued down over the fabric and then coated with glue and wiped with a shop towel. Added an edge tape on the top of the aileron opening. Added a short segment of tape over the wing tip light fairing. Applied a tape on the left end of the wing on the top rib. Added a tape on the trailing edge of the wing outboard of the aileron cutout. Glued the top edge of the tape down on the trailing edge but left the bottom open. Used the small iron set at 250 degree and ironed each tape on the top of the wing.
Turned the wing over and run the 1/2 inch fiber tape down each rib centered on each of the stitch holes. Used the soldering iron to melt through the fiber tape and fabric at each of the stitch holes. Installed a pop rivet in each hole along the front edge of the wing. Repeated the installation of pop rivets along the trailing edge of the wing. End of day.
