Brief Description: Installed Ribs in Forward Fuselage Cover
Checked the curvature of the support ribs to match the firewall top. Adjusted each rib to meat the require curve. Positioned the right side rib starting at the second strap end and drilled a 1/8 inch hole through the rib about 1/4 inch from the end. Drilled a 1/8 inch hole through the cover 1/2 inch out from the strap. Aligned the spacing gage across the cover and marked a set of drill points about 1 1/4 inches apart. Mounted the rib to the cover with a cleo and clamped the other end to the cover inline with the marked points. Used a 1/8 inch bit to drill the next marked location to the cleo. Installed a cleo into the hole. Drilled the next marked location and again installed a cleo into the hole. Continued drilling and installing cleos to the end of the rib. Removed the second cleo from the end of the rib next to the center of the cover. Installed a 1/8 inch pop rivet in the open hole. Removed the fourth cleo from the center and installed a pop rivet. Continued removing cleos and installing pop rivets in alternating steps until all of the holes have been riveted. Repeated the process described above for the left side of the cover.
