Brief Description: Storage Brackets and Instrument Panel Layout
Cut two 3 inch lengths from the 1/2 inch steel strap. Fitted the strap around the fuselage side brace next to the baggage box bottom. Clamped the strap with vice grips and bent the strap at an angle to fit under the bottom of the baggage box. Marked the strap with the D bracket holes and then drilled two 3/16 inch holes. Repeated the process for the second strap.
Cut a section of brown paper large enough to cover the instrument panel. Marked the outline of the instrument panel on the paper to include the mounting holes. Also marked the cross brace on the paper. Laid out the paper instrument cutouts on the paper for a trail layout. Evaluated the configuration for effective scans and tried several adjustments. Grouped the engine instruments in the lower left of the panel and the electrical instruments center right. Spaced the flight instruments about the center area. Considered leaving space in the center for mounting an iPad.
