Cut and formed four tabs from the 1/8 by 1/2 inch bar steel stock. Drilled each tab with a 3/16 inch hole in the rounded tip. Measured and marked the position for each of the tabs on the cross brace for mounting the rudder frames. Clamped each tab in turn with the vice-grips at the marked locations. Tig welded each tab in place. Also on the center line welded a washer with a 1/4 inch hole for the mounting of the control stick assembly. Mounted the left rudder frame using two AN3 bolts. Placed the rudder bar on the frame. Mounted the right rudder frame with two AN3 bolts and placed the right rudder bar on the frame. Checked the clearance between the rudder bars and found a 1/2 inch gap.
