Fabricated a second tyedown strap from 085 aluminum sheet 2 by 14 inches. Folded the sheet in half and secured the two haves with two 3/16 inch pop rivets. Drilled a 3/4 inch hole centered in the closed end of the strap. Split the two halves and formed them over the cross brace and strut on the forward wing spar. Sanded all edges and rounded the corners.
Drilled a 3/16 inch hole in one side of the strap about 1/2 inch from the top and side edges. Removed the AN 3 bolt from the forward wing strut. Aligned the tyedown strap hole with the hole in the wing strut and drilled through the other side. Removed the burrs from the strap and installed the AN 3 bolt back through the strap and wing strut. Aligned the strap parallel to the front wing spar and drilled a second 3/16 inch hole through the strap and the wing cross brace. Secured with another AN 3 bolt.
Installed the second tyedown strap on the other wing as described above.
