Brief Description: Layout of the Throttle Quadrant
Mounted the throttle to the plate using a 3 inch by 3/8 inch bolt. Marked the connection point on the throttle shaft and measured the full travel. The throttle needs 1 1/2 inch of travel for the carburetor. By using a connection point on the throttle shaft 1 3/4 above the mounting point a 2 inch travel is obtained.
More work is required on the throttle. An extension is to be connected to the lower bracket to support the connection to the right side throttle. The body of the throttle will support both ends of the throttle cables. Considering the amount of activity the throttle frame should provide two throttles, one on each side of the cockpit. More design work is required.
