Brief Description: Completed the Last Wing Gap Cover Strip
Laid out the straight edge on the aluminum sheet and measured a 3 inch strip on the right side of the sheet. Scored the sheet four times along the straight edge. Moved the scored line next to the edge of the table and flexed the sheet. Slowly separated the strip from the sheet along the scored line. Filed the edges of the strip to remove any sharp edges. Used the vice-grip beveling tool along both edges of the strip.
Put the strip on the top right wing gap and bent 4 inches around the trailing edge of the wing. Drilled a 1/8 inch hole on the right side of the strip on the trailing edge of the wing. Installed a #10 by 3/8 inch screw through the strip and into the trailing edge of the wing. Pulled the strap around the wing and used a clamp to hold it at the trailing edge. Checked the leading edge of the wing at the gap and ensured correct alignment. Drilled a 1/8 inch hole through the strip and into the 1/2 inch aluminum tube on the bottom edge of the wing. Installed another #10 screw into the strip. To finish attaching the strip to the bottom of the wing a platform is required to go over the bottom wing to provide access. Construction of the platform is for the next work day.
