Brief Description: nstalled Bracing Cables on the Center Wing Vertica
Used the rotating laser level to mark the location of the firewall. Measured from the leading edge of the center wing section to the laser mark. Adjusted the center wing section until there was two inches from the laser line to the leading edge. Secured one end of a 3/32 inch cable into the left side top aft tab with a themble and crimp. Mounted a cable tab to the front bottom bolt in the wing strut. Installed a turnbuckle on to the cable tab and installed the cable from the top aft tab on to the turnbuckle. Checked the turnbuckle for full extension and pulled the cable tight and crimped it in place. Tighten the trunbuckle and again checked the position of the leading edge in relation to the firewall. Installed a cable tab on the aft lower mounting bolt. Repeated the process for the top front cable tab to the aft lower cable tab.
Installed a set of cross cables on the right side of the vertical struts. Install a set of cross cables between the front struts and repeatedly checked the square of the front struts. Used a steel shim to protect the cable when trimming away excess cable with a dremel tool and a cut-off wheel. Completed a final crimp on the sleeve to cover the edges of the cut cable end.
