Fitted the aft right wing strut over the cross braces on the top and bottom wings. Positioned the strut next to the aft wing spars and drilled a 3/16 inch hole through the lower cross brace. Secured the bottom end of the strut to the cross brace with an AN 3 bolt. Checked that the top of the aft strut was next to the aft wing spar and drilled a 3/16 inch hole through the cross brace. Secured the top of the strut to the cross brace with an AN 3 bolt.
Mounted the longest of the brace cables to the top of the right wing's aft strut. Cut the cable from the turnbuckle. Put a new ferrule on the cable and run it back through the turnbuckle. Loosened the turnbuckle and mounted it to the tab on the lower end of the strut. Pulled the excess cable through the thimble on the turnbuckle and clamped it above the ferrule. Check the tension by tightening the turnbuckle. Not enough tension provided. Loosened the turnbuckle and reset the cable in the clamp. Tensioned the cable again with the turnbuckle and check alignment. Checked good so I crimped the ferrule once next the thimble. Cut the excess cable off next to the ferrule and completed the second crimp. Repeated the above process for the left wing strut.
