Brief Description: Installed Right Outer Wing Strut Cross Cables
Removed the top two steel tabs from the right outer wing struts. Installed a thimble in each of the tabs by enlarging the hole in the small end of the tab to 7/32 and bending the thimble to fit the tab. Placed the end of the 3/32 cable through each of the thimbles and crimped them in place. Mounted the tabs back to the top of the struts.
Placed a turnbuckle on the front strut lower tab and put a thimble into the cable end of the turnbuckle. Placed a copper sleeve on the cable from the top aft strut and put it through the turnbuckle thimble. Pulled the cable as tight as possible against the thimble and clamped it in place with vice-grips. Crimped the cable near the thimble and removed the vice-grips. Used a drimal tool with a cut wheel and steel shield to cut the excess cable end at the crimp. Placed a second crimp on the sleeve at the cut end. Repeated the same process for the second cable from the top front tab.
Installed the ailerons on the lower wings. Measures the control cable runs and cut two lengths. Put thimbles on one end of each cable.
