Brief Description:  Construction of the Cable Bracing on the Tail

Mounted the rudder to the hinge points on the vertical stabilizer and rudder post. This was to check the alignment of the rudder horn and hinge points. Removed the rudder and measured the cable mounting points on the vertical and horizontal stabilizers. Drill a 3/16 inch hole at each mounting point. Prepared six cable mounting tabs by drilling a 3/16 inch center hole and a 1/4 inch cable mounting hole in each tab. Mounted all of the tabs to the vertical and horizontal stabilizers using three AN 3 bolts. Measured a length of light cable through the three tabs on the left side of the vertical fin. Marked the cable and cut to length. Placed a thimble in each tab and ran the cable through the horizontal stabilizer's tab. Made sure that the cable lengths reached all three tabs. Added a nicopress sleeve and anchored the cable to the horizontal stabilized tab. Completed the connections for the other two tabs using two crimps per nicopress sleeve. Repeated the processes for the other side.
