Measured the proposed height of the seat and placed a bucket into the fuselage set at that height. Climbed into the cockpit and set on the bucket to judge the fit of the seat. Dropped the height by two inches and marked the fuselage. Laid a level across the seat back and marked the diagonal. Measured the distance from each fuselage side to the diagonal and cut a length of 1/2 inch steel tubing to fit. Grounded each end to fit the tubes and spot welded each tube in place. Doubled checked the measurements and position of the tubes. Tig welded each tube in place forming the back of the seat. Wire bushed each well and painted with black primer when cool.
