Did a test fitting of the trailing edge and the mounting bracket to the right side of the fuselage lower longeron. Spot welded the bracket to the fuselage. Removed the aluminum trailing edge and set it aside. Welded the bracket to the fuselage. Used the angle grander to grind the weld smooth to the fuselage. Installed the trailing edge in the bracket and on the end of the wing stub ribs. Found that the pipe from the bracket to the wing stub was 1/4 inch too long. Put a cut off wheel on the angle grinder and removed the 1/4 inch from the pipe. Welded up the aft wing stub spar where the cut was made to fit the spat into the aft wing spar. Ground the welds smooth on the aft wing strut end.
Did a trial fit of the left wing stub trailing edge with the bracket. Spot welded the bracket to the lower fuselage longeron. Checked the alignment with the trailing edge aluminum pipe and adjusted the bracket by reducing the angle from the longeron by about 1 degree. Welded the bracket to the fuselage. Ground the weld smooth to the fuselage. Welded the wing aft spar cuts close. Have to finish the grinding on the next work day.
