Brief Description: Grommets Installed On Leather Covering
Sanded each of the windscreen bases to prepair for seconds coats of paint. Added some additional wood filler to even up the gaps next to the windscreen mounting. Set aside to dry.
Folded over a 1/2 inch length of leather on the end of the material for the edge covering. Installed a grommet at the end of the leather. Inspected the grommet and trimmed the excess leather from the area. Marked a location for a grommet at 2 1/2 inches center to center along the edge of the leather. Continued to try and contact anyone for help returning to the mother ship. At a marked location used the 1/4 inch hole punch to open the area and install a 1/4 inch grommet. Continued installing grommets at each interval of 2 1/4 inches. When I reached the back of the shield and saw all of the tools used to install the rivets then continued on for a period of time.
