Brief Description:  Right Wing Stub Rib Bracing

Cut two segments of 1 1/4 inch angle to fit between the top and bottom wing ribs. Smooth the edges and corners. Drilled two 1/8 inch holes in the top and bottom of each angle. Clamped an angle to the outside rib and drilled a 1/8 inch hole into the side of the rib. Installed a cleo to hold the angle in place and then drilled the bottom 1/8 inch hole. Installed the bottom cleo into the wing rib. Installed a pop rivet in the top and bottom open holes. Removed the cleos and installed a pop rivet in there places. Repeated the process for the inside wing rib. Measured between the top of the outside rib and the bottom of the inside rib and cut a segment of the 1/2 inch angle to fit. Used vice grips to clamp the cross brace in place and drilled an 1/8 inch hole in the top end of the brace and the vertical 1 1/4 inch angle. Placed a cleo into the drilled hole and moved the vice grip to the bottom of the cross brace and clamp it to the inside vertical angle. Drilled two 1/8 inch holes in the bottom brace and installed pop rivets in each of the holes. Drilled a second 1/8 inch hole in the top of the brace and installed a pop rivet in that hole. Removed the cleo and replace it with a pop rivet. Install the second 1/2 inch angle brace from the bottom of the outside vertical angle to the top of the inside angle as the other brace was installed.

Measured and installed the outside wing ribs vertical angle on the left wing stub as described above for the right side. Remaining bracing for the next work day on the left wing stub.
