I trimmed the fiberglass edges around the book end using the band saw. Knife trimming earlier as per the manual would have been better as I noticed a few of the fiberglass corners had drooped due to extra weight while curing. See the "Trimming" picture below.
I marked diagonal lines on both sides of the larger foam block and carved off the bulk of the unused foam with a butcher knife then used a hobby saw to finalize the diagonal. I then sanded the diagonal surface with a flat piece of foam. See the "Cut Diagonal" picture below.
I measured and marked 1/4 inch lines around the top and side edges of the larger foam diagonal piece. I then cut this with the hobby saw and then cut the unnecessary pieces out with the butcher knife. I used a sanding block to sand the fiberglass for the next glass to glass layup. I sanded the side edges of the diagonal face with another foam block to round off the sides. See the "Cut Edges and Sand" picture below.
