For each of the fuselage sides, we positioned the lower longeron starting at the front and worked towards the rear of the fuselage side, drilling a hole every 6 inches and using a nail to temporarily secure the lower longeron to the fuselage side. In areas where the longeron needed to curve downward, a coping saw was used and cuts were made every 4 inches along the inside of the curved longeron.
