Brief Description: Fuselage Side Contouring Complete
Installed bottom left side spacers
Workshop was heated to 25 deg C and the humidity was 22%.
I used 2 batches of micro-slurry for this. The first batch consisted of 36g resin, 14g hardner, and 1 scoop of glass bubbles. The 2nd was 32g resin, 12g hardner, and 1 scoop glass bubbles.
I applied the micro to the PVC foam using a squeegee then I applied micro to the bottom of the spacers. Starting at the aft end and working towards the front, I applied nails into the foam to temporarily hold it in place and to follow the shape of the bottom of the left fuselage side. I used books between the nails to weigh down the spacers while they cure.
