Began work on installing cowl. Watched installation video and it appeared easy enough. Just put support under lower cowl, add some tape to the rear sides, set upper cowl on top and check fit. I followed all these steps and canopy actually does sit on plane. I did have to do some trimming where the baffles run into the rear of the air holes. Also moved entire canopy around to get the required 1/8" to 3/16" clearance between front of cow. and rear of spinner plate. Once I got everything trimmed, I installed top forward skin so I could get dimensions on how much trimming I need to do on the top front skin and the fuselage forward side skins. Marked and cut top forward skin and day was over. Next will be to trim side skins and set cosl back in place to markdrill/cleco for nut plates. I diecided to use nut plates instead of hinges because thats what is in the FWF kit.
