Brief Description: Fine fuel filter and oil cooler
Began work on mounting fine fuel filter. Made brackets and assembled banjo fittings to filter. Attached to enigne mount with adel clamps. FWF kit supplied premade hose from firewall fuel pump to filter. This is the red sleeved hose shown. Also worked on oil cooler. Removed oil filter and threaded nipple and replaced with oil cooler thermostat mounting. Installed oil cooler with supplied vibration rubber pieces and supplied red sleeved hoses. I have not connected the hoses to the filter mounting piece yet because I want to put the oil temperature probe in before I connect the hoses. Once the hoses are connected, it would be difficult to install the oil temperature probe. For reasons I have not figuired out yet, UL Power nor Zenith supplies the oil temperature probe or any of the other sensors needed ( oil temp, fuel pressure, EGTs, CHTs, etc>). UL Power does supply any sensors that the ECU needs but so far the only one I have found for this is the oil pressure sensor. I will call Robert and Roger tomorrow and see what the story is on this. My guess is the Robert will say the sensors are part of the FWF kit and Roger will say they are part of tthe instrument package when you buy it. That is ok if you buy all this at the same time but it would be nice to know that the sensors that attach to the engine do not come with the FWF kit.
