Brief Description:  Rront canopy tube frame

I initially thought making the front canopy tube frame would be very straightorward. However when I looked at the mounting bracket angle I was somewhat perplexed on how to cut this angle accurately on the tube. I decided the only way to do this was with my metal chop saw. So I laid out the angle relative to the blade and clamped a scrap piece of wood to use as a guide brace for the tube to rest against. Also since the only way I could see to get the proper angle was to have to tube frame sit in the vertical, I had to make sure the frame was parallel to the blade. Once the tube was clamped to the wood brace I then used a level to make sure it was plumb. Got everything lined up and made the first cut. I tokk the bracket and put it on the rube and it was perfect!! But could I do it again on the other side. Again I repeated the prior steps and it worked again. I had visions of this going terribly wrong but it all worked out fine. First picture shows first cut. Second picture is test fitting on side rails. Last picture is tube frame resting on spacer block. I will have to move aiirplanc out of workshop so I can get canopy open enough to get someone inside to hold tube frame against canopy so I can drill and cleco.
